About Power Up Roulette
Released in September 2023, Power Up Roulette is Pragmatic Live's differentiating innovation alongside Lightning Roulette, Mega Roulette and XXXtreme. Rather than drawing a single multiplier per hit number, Power Up Roulette uses a cumulative multiplier mechanic: 5 numbers are marked Power Up each round, and if the ball lands on the same number across several consecutive rounds, the multipliers compound multiplicatively (x2 × x4 × x8 × x16... up to a theoretical cap of x8,192). It's the only live roulette in the world with a multi-round compounding mechanic — Evolution has no direct equivalent.
The format is a classic single-zero European roulette (37 pockets: 0, 1-36) with a base RTP of 97.30% on classic bets. All traditional bets are available (red/black, odd/even, dozens, columns, splits, corners, lines, straight up), with standard European payouts.
The signature mechanic: before each round, 5 Power Up multipliers are drawn on 5 different numbers (multipliers of x2, x4, x8, x16 or x32). Visual Power Up animations show a battery icon charging up on the 5 marked numbers. If the ball lands on a Power Up number that you bet straight up, your win is multiplied.
Unique specificity: if the same number is Power Up across several consecutive rounds (the RNG can generate the same Power Up number successively), the multipliers compound multiplicatively — meaning a number that hits 3 times in a row with multipliers x4, x8, x16 would give x4 × x8 × x16 = x512 on the following hit. This mechanic rewards patience and observation of multi-round Power Up patterns.
The theoretical cap of x8,192 is mathematically reachable through a sequence of Power Up hits on the same number with maximum consecutive multipliers (x32 × x32 × x8 = x8,192, for example). The probability is ultra-rare (roughly 1 in 10 million rounds), but theoretically possible. In practice, exceptional hits documented by the community tend to cap around x500-x2,000 via a compound of 2-3 consecutive hits on the same number.
On the EV side, RTP sits at 97.30% on classic bets, 96.50% on Power Up bets straight up (mechanics identical to other Pragmatic Lightning-style roulettes). House edge is roughly 3.5% on Power Up bets. The cumulative mechanic doesn't change overall EV, just the variance distribution — more volatile than classic Mega Roulette / Lightning Roulette.
Broadcast from the Pragmatic Bucharest studio with energetic hosts, signature Power Up animations (battery icons, electric effects when a compound is active), and a real-time display of active Power Up numbers and their current multiplier. The table runs 24/7 with three 8-hour team rotations. Minimum bet €0.20 per number, maximum €2,000 per number.
