About Mega Roulette
Released in September 2020, Mega Roulette is Pragmatic's answer to Lightning Roulette (Evolution, 2018). It took Pragmatic two years to develop its in-house equivalent of the multiplier-roulette mechanic pioneered by Evolution. The similarity is deliberate — same single-zero Money Wheel format, same Lightning-style x50-x500 multipliers, same 97.30%/96.50% RTP. The main differences: Pragmatic Bucharest studio quality is slightly below Evolution Riga (a subtle but noticeable visual gap), but minimum stakes are the same at €0.20 and distribution is wider across regulated online casinos.
The format is a single-zero European roulette (37 pockets: 0, 1-36) with a base RTP of 97.30% on classic bets (red/black, odd/even, low/high, dozens, columns, splits, corners, lines). Standard European payouts (35:1 on straight up, 17:1 on split, 11:1 on street, 8:1 on corner, 5:1 on line, 2:1 on dozen/column, 1:1 on even-money).

A x500 Mega hit is rare (~1 in 700 rounds on a given number — calculation: 5 Mega numbers out of 37 = ~13.5% chance a Mega hit is even possible × 1/37 chance the ball lands on your number × roughly 1/7 chance of the top multiplier). Multipliers of x50-x100 are far more common (~1 in 15 hits on a given number).
For big-win chasers, the appeal is landing a Mega Multiplier on a number you've backed. The risk/reward ratio is attractive compared to classic roulette: you give up 0.8% RTP but gain access to potential x500 upside on a straight-up stake. That's a better RTP-to-max-win ratio than most slots.
