About Side Bet City
Released in 2019, Side Bet City is Evolution's innovative poker game with a SIDE BETS ONLY format — a unique concept where there's no player decision to make, just side bets on the hands that will form. RTP 96.69%, max 1,000x via the Royal Flush. The math model is calibrated for ultra-accessible, strategy-free sessions, with high volatility driven by the rarity of the Royal Flush.
The visual world is a retro '80s poker studio with multicolored neon lights, an urban skyline backdrop, and a palette of electric neon pink-cyan, UV purple, and night black. Cinematic, retro-futuristic animations show cards flipping in sync with the music, neon lights pulsing with every reveal, and an arcade-style HUD. The sound design blends 80s synthwave, arcade clicks, and the studio's signature hand-announcing bell.
The signature mechanic: no strategy or decisions for the player — you simply bet on 4 simultaneous side bets before the cards are dealt. 3 Card Hand (forms a 3-card hand, pays according to strength: Pair 1:1 up to Mini-Royal 50:1), 5 Card Hand (forms a 5-card poker hand, pays 1:1 up to 1,000:1 on a Royal Flush), 7 Card Hand (forms the best 5-card hand out of 7 cards, pays 1:1 up to 5,000:1), All Lose (pays 7:1 if all the other side bets lose — a protection bet).
Cards are dealt and revealed automatically, with payouts based on the hands formed. Mini-Royal pays 50x, Royal Flush pays 1,000x. Stake range €0.50-€500. Compare it with Three Card Poker (3 cards with player decisions), Casino Hold'em (Texas variant), Caribbean Stud Poker (5-card stud with player decisions), Lightning Roulette (another simple-format Evolution game) and Crazy Time (Evolution game show).
