About Rich Wilde and the Shield of Athena

Released on May 28, 2020, Rich Wilde and the Shield of Athena is the fifth installment of Play'n GO's Rich Wilde franchise. The slot pairs Rich Wilde with his daughter Cat Wilde on a journey to Atlantis in search of the legendary Shield of Athena. Format 5x3 / 10 paylines, RTP 96.25%, volatility 10/10 (the maximum on Play'n GO's scale), max 10,000x. The math model rewards sessions where the Medusa Respin and Cat Wilde Free Spins chain together. The visual world is a Greek Olympian temple with a warrior Athena, a mythical Medusa, and adventurer Cat Wilde, in a palette of Athena blue, gold, blood red, viper green and marble white. Cinematic animations show Medusa's dramatic petrifying gaze and Cat Wilde's heroic entrances, backed by an epic Greek-choir-and-orchestral-strings sound design typical of the studio. The signature mechanic is the Medusa Respin Feature — it can trigger randomly on any spin whenever the Shield of Athena wild lands on the reels. When triggered, one respin is awarded and the Shield of Athena symbol turns into a standard wild for that respin, opening the door to large combos. The other standout is the Cat Wilde scatters, which trigger Free Spins depending on how many land — 3 Cat Wilde = 10 FS, 4 = 12 FS, 5 = 15 FS. During Free Spins, wilds land more frequently and mechanics are amplified. Available at top-rated crypto casinos on the BetsRank list offering Play'n GO. Worth comparing with Book of Dead (2016), Rich Wilde and the Wandering City (2021, 243 ways), Legacy of Dead (2020) and Scroll of Dead (2019).
