About Red Door Roulette
Released in October 2023, Red Door Roulette is one of Evolution's more subtle innovations in its roulette portfolio. Rather than pushing the Lightning-style multiplier concept further (as in XXXtreme Lightning Roulette's x2000) or inventing a radically new mechanic, Evolution opted for classic European roulette with a surprise random bonus — the 'Red Door', which unlocks without warning and takes you into a secret mini game show with multipliers up to x500. It's a hybrid format between pure roulette and a game show that adds variety without changing the base format.
The base format is a classic single-zero European roulette (37 pockets) with a base RTP of 97.30%. All the traditional bets are available: red/black, odd/even, low/high, dozens, columns, splits, corners, lines, straight up. Standard European payouts apply (35:1 on straight up, etc.).
The innovation is the Red Door. Randomly (roughly once every 100 spins on average), between two regular spins, an animated red door lights up on screen. If you have placed a stake on the door (a dedicated Red Door bet, from around €5 minimum), you unlock a secret mini game show played in a separate studio. Several variants exist: a mini Wheel of Fortune with multipliers from x10 to x500, Lucky Spin with fixed prizes, and Pick & Win with mystery box choices. Multipliers in the bonus can reach x500.
On the math side, the RTP is 97.30% on the classic bets (single zero). The RTP drops to 96.50% on the dedicated Red Door bet itself (similar to Lightning bets elsewhere). The Red Door bonus activates randomly — you have no control over it. To benefit from it, you need to place a Red Door stake in addition to your regular bets. It's a hybrid strategy between traditional roulette and a bonus opportunity.
