About Genie Jackpots Megaways
Genie Jackpots Megaways extends one of Blueprint Gaming's oldest series by moving it onto the Megaways engine, designed by Big Time Gaming and used under licence. Specialist databases date its release to 14 September 2018. The presentation stays faithful to the series: the lamp, the palace, the flying carpet, and a genie who intervenes directly on the grid.
A tighter Megaways grid. The game uses six reels showing up to five symbols each, for a maximum of 15,625 active ways, against 117,649 on the seven-position Megaways titles. The number of symbols per reel is drawn on every spin, and the counter can drop to a few dozen ways on a short grid. No lines are defined: matching symbols pay as soon as they occupy adjacent reels from the left.
Genie Power Spins. This is the feature that sets the title apart from Blueprint's other Megaways games. On any spin, the genie can step in and apply a modifier before the reels stop. Four effects are documented: Wild Megaways, which pushes the grid towards its maximum number of ways; Genie Wilds, which adds wilds carrying a multiplier of up to five times; Genie Win Spin, which guarantees a winning spin; and Bonus Megaways, which increases the presence of bonus symbols and so brings the free round closer.
Four free spins modes to choose from. Three, four, five or six bonus symbols award ten, twelve, fifteen or twenty free games respectively. The player then picks a mode from four options that behave very differently: Mystery Wishes, where mystery symbols all reveal the same thing; a rising multiplier mode, which adds one to the multiplier on every free game; Locking Wilds, where wilds stay locked on the centre reels; and Genie Streak, built around respins. That explicit choice lets you tune the risk profile of the bonus.
RTP, stakes and the Bonus Wish Bet. The reference RTP recorded by specialist databases is 96.52%, rising to 97.13% when the bonus is bought. That purchase, called the Bonus Wish Bet, costs a hundred times the stake and opens the free games directly. Stakes run from 0.10 to 10.00. What to expect at the table. The two layers work in opposite directions. The base game is unusually active for a Megaways title, because the genie can rewrite a spin at any moment and one of his four effects points directly at the bonus. The free games then hand the decision back to you, and the four modes are far enough apart that the same trigger can produce very different rounds. What the shorter grid costs is coverage: with five positions per reel rather than seven, the game trades scale for frequency of incident.
