About Forbidden Alchemy
Released on 2 January 2026, Forbidden Alchemy runs counter to PG Soft's recent output. Where the studio piles on dynamic grids and cluster pays, this title returns to a structure of 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines paying left to right, in a portrait presentation designed for mobile. The setting is a forbidden alchemist's laboratory: skulls, claws, mandrakes and corals occupy the top of the paytable (respectively 4x to 20x, 2x to 10x and 1x to 8x the bet), while the A, K, Q, J cards return 0.20x to 4x. The official RTP is 96.76%, very slightly above the 96.75% PG Soft applies by default. Volatility is high and the advertised ceiling reaches 8,000x the bet — a remarkable figure for such a narrow format, and one entirely explained by the mechanic. That mechanic is Wild Transformation. Wilds do substitute for all symbols except scatters, but the essential part lies elsewhere: on any spin, the feature can trigger and convert one or more high-value symbols into wilds. Each symbol transformed this way is represented by a jar positioned above the reels, showing an associated multiplier. The progression rule is additive: every new occurrence of that symbol adds +1 to its jar's multiplier. And when a win occurs with one or more transformations active, it is the sum of all displayed multipliers that applies to the spin's total payout — not the highest one, the sum. The free spins round triggers with 3, 4 or 5 scatters, for 12, 15 or 20 spins respectively, with each additional scatter during the bonus adding 3 spins. This is where the title finds its true measure: during free spins, the multipliers become persistent and progressive and do not reset between spins. A long bonus session can therefore load several jars at once, and that is the only plausible route to the top of the paytable. Two points of honesty: no bonus buy feature is available on Forbidden Alchemy, which means the free spins round has to be triggered in natural play; and PG Soft does not publish a hit frequency for this title, unlike some of its other releases — we would rather flag that than offer an estimate. Bets run from €0.20 to €100, a wide and comfortable range.
