BetsRank Verdict

Our read of the game, based on the data the studio publishes

Released on October 13, 2025, Sun Princess quickly became one of Hacksaw's most-played slots thanks to its original Sun Ray Frames mechanic. A 7x7 cluster pays format, RTP 96.3%, max win 10,000x, medium volatility (rare for Hacksaw). The Japanese garden artwork with a sun princess is one of the studio's most polished. Sun Ray Frames trigger randomly and propagate symbols in 4 directions, creating massive chains. Three distinct free spins modes: Solaris Grove (3 scatters, 10 spins), Sunfire Palace (4 scatters, sticky wilds), Golden Eclipse (5 scatters, guaranteed frame every spin).

Strengths

+Original and easy-to-read Sun Ray Frames mechanic
+Medium volatility — more accessible than classic Hacksaw hits
+Distinctive Japanese garden artwork
+3 graduated free spins modes (Solaris/Sunfire/Golden Eclipse)
+Uncapped cumulative wild multipliers

To consider

−Moderate 10,000x max win versus Wanted Dead (12,500x) or Chaos Crew 3 (30,000x)
−7x7 cluster means slower-paced sessions than a classic 5-reel game
−Average hit frequency — the base game can feel dry

About Sun Princess

Released on October 13, 2025, Sun Princess is one of Hacksaw's massive hits from late 2025 — the title that founded the Princess series (Dusk, Cloud, and Rainbow Princess to follow). A 7x7 cluster pays format, RTP 96.3%, max win 10,000x, medium volatility (rare for Hacksaw, traditionally a high-volatility studio). A zen Japanese garden bathed in sunset light, a solar princess in a golden kimono, cherry blossoms and a golden-pink palette. Signature mechanic: Sun Ray Frames appear randomly and propagate a chosen symbol in 4 directions (vertical, horizontal, or 4-way), triggering massive chain reactions. Wild multipliers are progressive (x2 → x4 → x6…) with no cap. Three free spins modes: Solaris Grove (3 scatters, 10 spins), Sunfire Palace (4 scatters, sticky wilds), Golden Eclipse (5 scatters, a guaranteed frame every spin). Available at online casinos that carry Hacksaw Gaming. See also Dusk Princess, Cloud Princess, and Rainbow Princess in the Princess series.

Sun Princess vs Cloud / Rainbow / Dusk Princess?▾

Sun Princess (Oct 2025) is the series founder.
