    The game in pictures

Screenshots of the actual game, not promotional art — every screen is described from what it shows.

Release the Bison — The base game
The base game at rest, a grid of five reels by four rows, framed by two horned posts. The bison marked WILD occupies the second cell of the middle reel and the blue BONUS diamond the foot of the fourth; the second reel is filled with wolves across its three lower cells. To the left of the frame, the BUY FREE SPINS sign sits above the “BET $2.50 — HIGHER CHANCE TO WIN FEATURE” panel with its switch on OFF. Bottom bar: CREDIT $99,996.00, BET $2.00, SPIN TO WIN!.
Release the Bison — Game rules, page 1
Page 1/8 of the paytable, in cash for the $2.00 bet: the wolf is the only ordinary symbol to pay from two on, at $1.00, then $4.00 for three, $6.00 for four and $20.00 for five. Then come the eagle ($8.00 for five), the hyena ($6.00) and the lynx ($4.00), then A at $3.00, K at $2.00, Q at $1.40, J at $1.20 and 10 at $1.00. The blue diamond is the BONUS, present on all reels. The bison is the WILD, substituting for everything except the BONUS and paying for itself as well: $25.00 for five, $10.00 for four, $5.00 for three and $1.00 for two — the best-paying symbol on the page.
Release the Bison — Wild respin feature
Page 2/8, two blocks. WILD RESPIN FEATURE: four or more WILDs in the base game open a run of respins where every WILD moves each turn, the game paying between each respin; every new WILD extends the run and raises by 1x the multiplier applied to all wins. SCATTERs landing during the run are collected, five at most, and three are enough at the end of the run to open the free spins. GUARANTEED WIN: when a base game spin pays nothing, the result can be randomly switched to a winning configuration “of minimum 10x and maximum 40x total bet”.
Release the Bison — Free spins
Page 3/8: three, four or five BONUS symbols open the free spins, and two BONUS symbols alone can still trigger a respin of the reels not carrying one. Before starting, a two-sided wheel draws the number of spins on one side and, on the other, a multiplier applied to every win of the round: with three BONUS symbols, 8, 10, 12, 15 or 18 spins and x1 to x5; with four, the same spin counts but a multiplier of at least x2; with five, 10 to 18 spins and a multiplier of at least x3. During the round, every WILD becomes roaming and stays on screen to the end; WILDs are also collected in a meter, and “Starting from the fifth WILD collected this way, for each new one, one more free spin is awarded and the multiplier increases by 1x”, ten WILDs at most per round.
Release the Bison — Max win
Page 4/8, three blocks. MAX WIN: “The maximum win amount is limited to 3,000x bet. If the total win of a round reaches 3,000x bet the round immediately ends, win is awarded and all remaining features are forfeited.” ANTE BET: the 25x bet multiplier raises the chance of landing the free spins naturally and disables the purchase, the 20x being normal play. BUY FREE SPINS: three prices, 80x total bet for three guaranteed BONUS symbols, 150x for four and 300x for five — the price quadruples going from three to five guaranteed symbols.
Release the Bison — Medium volatility
Page 5/8, the numbers page: the twenty paylines are drawn in the middle, numbered 1 to 20, under the line “All symbols pay from left to right on selected paylines. All wins are multiplied by bet per line.” The theoretical RTP is given as 96.54%, 96.56% with the “ANTE BET”, then 96.55% for the buy with three guaranteed BONUS symbols, 96.57% with four and 96.51% with five — the dearest option is here the least rewarding of the three. The betting range closes the screen: MINIMUM BET $0.20, MAXIMUM BET $300.00.
Release the Bison — How to play
Page 6/8, the interface: the CREDIT and BET labels show the balance and the current total bet, and “Click on the labels to switch between coins view and cash view” — that setting is what accounts for the cash amounts read in the paytable. The AUTOPLAY button opens the automatic play menu and a second click stops it, the three-chevron icon cycles normal speed, quick spin and turbo spin, and the + and − buttons change the bet while opening the denominations menu.
Release the Bison — Settings menu
Page 7/8: the SETTINGS menu holds four entries — INTRO SCREEN, AMBIENT, SOUND FX and GAME HISTORY — while the BET MENU block explains that the + and − buttons act on the BET and COIN VALUE fields, the total bet being shown in both coins and cash. The footer repeats the ceiling stated three pages earlier: “The maximum win amount is limited to 3000X bet.”, the win then being paid up to the cap and all remaining features forfeited.
