BetsRank Verdict

Our read of the game, based on the data the studio publishes

Pragmatic's mythological Megaways title — Thor, his hammer Mjölnir, and thunderstorms. 117,649 ways across 6 reels plus an upper row, classic Tumble Wins and above all an UNLIMITED progressive multiplier during free spins (gains +1x on every winning cascade). This is the mechanic that gives Power of Thor its capacity for big runs — the multiplier can theoretically climb into the hundreds. A Bonus Buy variant boasts a 96.97% RTP (above standard) — rare and notable.

Strengths

+Unlimited progressive multiplier during free spins (increments on every cascade)
+Double Wild Hammer feature — turns 2 reels into stacked wilds
+96.97% RTP on the Bonus Buy version (above average)
+Bonus buy available at 100x (except in the UK)

To consider

−5,000x max win — modest for a Megaways title (versus Power of Merlin Megaways' 25,000x)
−High variance, the base game can run dry
−Several reduced RTP versions (95.81%, 94.77%) applied by some casinos

About Power of Thor Megaways

Released in April 2021, Power of Thor Megaways draws on Pragmatic Play's Norse mythology franchise (Thor, Mjölnir, Asgard) built on the official Megaways engine under license from Big Time Gaming. 6 main reels topped by an upper row of 4 positions generate up to 117,649 ways to win. The Tumble mechanic cascades winning symbols downward, and the free spins introduce the slot's central feature: an UNLIMITED progressive multiplier that increases by 1x on every winning cascade — with no cap, which is rare. The Double Wild Hammer feature randomly turns 2 reels into stacked wilds.
