About Fear the Dark

Fear the Dark (April 2023) brings a unique horror theme to Hacksaw's catalogue — an 80s cartoon / vintage arcade aesthetic with goofy characters and a lighthearted mood (versus the dark gore of Bloodthirst or Cursed Crypt). The structure: a 6x6 grid, cluster pays — 5+ matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically produce a win. Stakes run from €0.10 to €100. Top-tier RTP of 96.25%. Medium volatility — accessible. The signature mechanic: Full Moon multipliers. During the base game, the Full Moon symbol can appear with a multiplier attached. The Alone in the Dark Free Spins trigger via scatters landing anywhere — during the bonus, wins accumulate multipliers. After the standard Free Spins, the Darkness Spins kick in: the grid's play field progressively shrinks (the outer symbols become 'darkness'), concentrating the potential wins onto a restricted zone with active multipliers — this is where the 5,000x max win is built. A 60x-200x bonus buy is available.
