About Erik the Red
Released on 2 October 2018, Erik the Red is Relax Gaming's very first slot — the founding release of the studio. The Viking theme follows Erik, his wife Helga and their crew as they explore the icy waters of the Norwegian Sea. RTP 96.95%, medium volatility, format 5x4 / 20 paylines, max win 959x.
Mechanics: stacked random wilds, scatter-triggered free spins, and a scatter-collection feature that unlocks entire reels of sticky wilds. It's a solid classic that showcases Relax Gaming's craftsmanship right from day one — simple by modern standards, but cleanly executed and comfortable to play over long sessions. There's no bonus buy, a natural reflection of the release date, well before that mechanic became an industry standard. Available at online casinos that carry Relax Gaming titles.
