About Book of Cats
Released on July 8, 2020, Book of Cats is BGaming's take on the Book of Ra-style formula. It keeps the classic 5x3, 10-payline layout, but its 96.99% RTP ranks among the highest in the entire BGaming portfolio — top three behind only Plinko XY (98.91%) and Lucky Lady's Clover (97.31%). The 8,202x max win is likewise a top result among BGaming's Book-style titles.
The signature mechanic is a 10-spin Free Spins round triggered by 3+ scatters, with a randomly chosen expanding symbol selected before the round begins. When that expanded symbol lands during Free Spins, it stretches across the entire reel — the iconic mechanic that has driven the genre since Novomatic's original in 2008. The Wild and Scatter functions are combined on the same symbol, and a standard x2/x4 Gamble feature is available. There is no bonus buy, so the Free Spins have to be triggered naturally. The classic Egyptian theme is reimagined with anthropomorphic cats standing in for the usual pantheon of Egyptian gods.
