How Wonders of Aztec works
Wonders of Aztec is a Pragmatic Play slot listed for release on 15 October 2026 in the official catalogue. The playing area has six reels and five rows, making thirty symbol positions. There are no fixed paylines to trace. Eight or more matching symbols pay anywhere on the screen, with the total count determining the relevant paytable band. Different masks and coloured stones have different values, so the same number of symbols can produce quite different ordinary payouts.
A winning combination starts a tumble sequence. Winning symbols disappear, surviving symbols drop down and new symbols fill the empty spaces. Another win continues the process. The inspected rules do not impose a numerical limit on the number of consecutive tumbles. All of these stages can belong to a single paid spin. It is therefore useful to separate the original stake from the number of animations shown before that spin finishes and its accumulated win is settled.
Each reel has an individual multiplier counter. A bomb contributes when it lands alongside a win on a spin or tumble. It sets its reel counter to x2 or doubles the value already there, up to x128 in ordinary play. A super bomb updates all six reel counters instead of just one. That creates a meaningful distinction between the two symbols: a regular bomb strengthens one column, whereas a super bomb can improve several counters used in the same final calculation.
At the end of the tumble sequence, active multiplier values are added together and their total multiplies the sequence win. The reel values are not multiplied by each other. For example, x4 and x8 produce a combined x12, not x32. A bomb is also not an instant cash prize in its own right. Its contribution depends on the win it accompanies and the counters already built. In the base game, those counters do not carry over into the next separately paid spin.
Four, five or six scatters award ten, twenty or thirty free spins respectively. During this round, the reel multipliers remain above the grid until the feature ends. They no longer reset after each free spin. A winning result with a bomb or super bomb is still needed to increase them. Landing four or more scatters within the round awards five additional spins. The rules also specify that special reel strips are used during this part of the game.
A super scatter included in the triggering combination starts super free spins. Before the first free spin, a random number of bombs is placed to improve the starting reel counters. The scatter count still determines whether the award is ten, twenty or thirty spins. Super scatters do not appear during the feature itself. The change is therefore an enhanced starting position for the multiplier system, rather than a guaranteed payout or an automatic award of the maximum number of spins.
The two direct purchases cost 100x the base bet for regular free spins and 500x for super free spins. With a USD 0.20 base stake, those prices are USD 20 and USD 100. A purchased trigger can contain four, five or six scatters, so paying for entry does not automatically buy thirty spins. The interface also offers Ante Bet and two Special Bets. Their costs and mathematical settings differ from normal play; compare the actual total stake shown before treating them as equivalent choices.
The inspected demo states 96.55% RTP for normal play and the regular purchase. It lists 96.49% for the super purchase, 96.51% for Ante Bet, 96.52% for Super Spin 1 and 96.51% for Super Spin 2. Volatility is described as medium. Its displayed USD 0.20–6,000 limits belong to a configuration that includes special bets, rather than a universal casino stake range. The overall win cap is 10,000x. Reaching it ends the round and forfeits any remaining free spins.
