The Slotfather Part II in detail
The Slotfather Part II is the sequel to one of Betsoft's best-known series. The studio dates its release to 21 March 2017 and states an RTP of 96.60%, one of the highest in its catalogue, volatility rated medium to high and a hit frequency of 16.46%. The grid is five reels by three rows and runs on 243 ways to win, with no lines to select.
The whole architecture of the game rests on tall symbols. The gangster characters do not occupy a single cell but an entire reel, all three vertical positions at once. That detail changes how you read the grid: a gangster landing is immediately visible, and his presence is what governs the game's features.
The first of those is the gangster respin. When two matching tall symbols land fully in view, each covering all three positions of its reel, a free respin is awarded. You get an extra spin at no cost every time the grid produces that configuration, which gives the tall symbols a double value: they pay, and they extend the round.
The second is the Big Boss Bonus, triggered when three or more matching tall symbols come together. This meeting with the boss is the peak of the game and continues the same logic: the more the grid fills with gangsters, the bigger the feature you reach. The progression is perfectly legible - two symbols for a respin, three for the main bonus.
The third is the free spins mode, opened by three or more truck symbols. Betsoft applies a simple and effective rule here: all payouts are doubled during the phase, standard combinations and scatter wins alike, and further spins can be won along the way. The game also offers a double-or-nothing gamble that lets you risk a win you have already collected.
The recorded betting range runs from 0.25 to 125 euros per spin, a wide band. The ceiling measured on this machine sits at around 18,666 times the stake, a very high figure for a game of this generation, and part of the reason the title has stayed in operator catalogues so long. There is no bonus buy.
The presentation carries over from the first series: an organised crime setting rendered in three dimensions, animated characters and cinematic sequences, the studio's visual signature of the period. The game is built in HTML5 and opens in a browser on phone, tablet or desktop.
The Slotfather Part II therefore reads as a game of progression: every gangster that lands moves you towards a clearly identified feature, from a plain respin up to the meeting with the boss. That direct reading of the grid, with no side meter or counter to track, goes a long way to explaining the place the title still holds with operators.
