How Sweet Bonanza works, and how it compares to the 1000 and Super Scatter versions
Released on 27 June 2019, Sweet Bonanza is the slot that made scatter pays the default format at Pragmatic Play. The grid is 6 reels by 5 rows and there are no paylines: a win happens when eight or more identical symbols are anywhere in view at the same time. Winning symbols then vanish and new ones fall into the gaps — the Tumble — so one paid spin can produce several wins in a row.
The paytable splits into two tiers. The fruits — banana, grape, watermelon, plum and apple — are the fillers, and they pay small: bananas return around 2x for 12 or more in view, grapes around 4x. The four coloured candies sit above them, topped by the red heart candy at roughly 50x for 12 or more. Regular wins therefore run from about 0.25x to 50x. Its in-round multipliers stay capped at 100x, but they stick to the grid until the feature ends instead of clearing. Put simply: the original is the balanced one, 1000 concentrates the upside inside the bonus, Super Scatter concentrates it in the moment the bonus starts.
One warning applies to all three. Pragmatic ships Sweet Bonanza in several RTP configurations and the operator picks. Reported figures for the top build vary between listings, and lower versions genuinely circulate.
