About Steampunk
Released on July 30, 2018, Steampunk belongs to PG Soft's first generation of games, from a time when the studio was still searching for its signature. It retains one rare quirk from that era: the Orbital Reels format. Rather than reels spinning vertically, the game offers three concentric wheels holding 8, 12 and 16 tiles respectively, all turning around a common axis. Wins form by gathering 4 or more adjacent tiles carrying the same symbol, which completely changes how you read the grid compared with a classic machine. The visual world is unashamedly Victorian steampunk — brass gears, dials, steam machinery — and the narrative revolves around time travel. The feature set relies on the Wheel of Destiny and three celestial symbols. Correctly aligning a Moon and a Star opens free respins, while a Sun present simultaneously on all three wheels triggers the bonus game. The bet range is unusually wide for the studio: from €0.30 to €375 per spin. This title should nevertheless be approached with the facts in hand. Its 95.62% RTP is clearly below today's market average and below the standards PG Soft has applied since 2020 (generally around 96.7%).
