About Hot Hot Fruit
Hot Hot Fruit arrived on 29 January 2019 and is still the fruit machine Habanero is best known for. The furniture is familiar — cherries, lemons, bells and red sevens under neon — but the maths underneath is not. The game runs on a 5x3 grid with 15 fixed lines, ten bet levels and coin values from 0.01 to 20, which puts the stake range at roughly €0.15 to €3,000 a spin. Habanero rates the volatility very high, which is unusual for the studio and unusual for the genre.
Before anything else, check the RTP. Habanero publishes five configurations for this title — approximately 86%, 92%, 94%, 97% and 98% — and the casino chooses which one it loads. The build most commonly quoted is 96.84%, but nothing obliges an operator to run it, and the spread between the lowest and highest setting is wider than on almost any other game you will meet. The info panel inside the game is the only place the figure your casino has actually enabled is shown.
The signature mechanic is Hot Hot, which can fire at random after any spin. It enlarges one or more symbol types so that each occupies two positions and counts twice, which is how a 15-line game produces runs longer than five. Red sevens are the exception: they become Tripled Sevens, count three times, and allow a chain of up to 15 in a row, while doubled symbols allow up to ten.
There is no scatter on this game. Wilds do the triggering, appear only on reels 1, 2, 4 and 5, and pay nothing by themselves. Three or more read left to right award 6 free games; three or more that read left to right and right to left award 12. Inside the round the game changes character entirely: every symbol that takes part in a winning combination locks in place for the remainder of the feature and keeps paying on each subsequent spin, up to a ceiling of 14 locked symbols. Locked symbols can still be doubled or tripled by Hot Hot, and that compounding is where the round's upside lives.
On the ceiling, Habanero's own game page gives a maximum multiplier of 5,087x the total stake. The paytable's top line reads 25,000 coins, which is a different unit — a coin total that depends on the coin value and bet level in play, not a stake multiple. Third-party listings quoting 25,000x or 50,000x are mixing the bases. Some casinos also attach the game to Habanero's Jackpot Race network promotion, with Mini, Minor and Major tiers; that is scheduled by the operator rather than built into the slot, so its availability varies.
