    BetsRank Verdict

Our read of the game, based on the data the studio publishes

Released in 2024, Duel of Night & Day is a Mystic Pragmatic slot built around a sun-versus-moon dual theme. Format 2-3-4-4-3-2 / 1 152 ways to win, RTP 96.47%, max win 10,000×, very high volatility. The Dual feature switches the reels between a 'Day' and a 'Night' mode, each carrying its own set of multipliers that stack up to x500 during the bonus round, which is what pushes the ceiling above the typical Pragmatic 5,000x-10,000x range up to 12,500x. A 100x stake bonus buy (unavailable in the UK) lets players skip straight to the feature.

    The game in pictures

Screenshots of the actual game, not promotional art — every screen is described from what it shows.

Duel of Night & Day — The base game
The base game before a spin: six reels in a staircase, from two symbols on the first to four in the middle, with a SCATTER sitting at the top of the fifth. Along the bottom, CREDIT $99,998.00 and BET $2.00 flank the PLACE YOUR BETS! message. The left-hand column carries the BUY FREE SPINS button priced at $240.00 and, just below it, the “BET $3.00 — DOUBLE CHANCE TO WIN FEATURE” panel with its switch on OFF. The two deities framing the grid, solar on the left and lunar on the right, mark where the two multiplier meters sit.
Duel of Night & Day — Game rules, page 1
Page 1/8 of the paytable, in cash for the $2.00 bet: Nefertiti and the Bastet cat both pay $2.00 for six symbols, $1.80 for five, $1.20 for four and $1.00 for three; the scarab, the cobra and the A follow at $1.50 / $1.20 / $1.00 / $0.60, then K, Q and J at $1.20 / $1.00 / $0.80 / $0.60. On the right, the line “1152 ways to win” sits above four grid diagrams, two ticked green and two crossed red. The WILD “can appear only on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5” and substitutes for everything except SCATTER, SUN and MOON, while the header states that symbols pay both left to right and right to left.
Duel of Night & Day — Tumble feature
Page 2/8: below the Tumble explanation, the two SUN and MOON multiplier symbols are shown side by side, each paying $3.00 for six, $2.50 for five, $2.00 for four and $1.50 for three at the $2.00 bet. The text puts the SUN meter on the left of the screen and the MOON meter on the right, adds that in the base game each hit can randomly add 1x to the matching side, then splits the roles: SUN applies to combinations formed left to right, MOON to those formed right to left, and when both directions win on the same spin, “the win will be multiplied by the sum of both multipliers”.
Duel of Night & Day — Free spins
Page 3/8: three, four, five or six SCATTER symbols all trigger 10 free spins, with the SUN and MOON meters both starting at 2x; what changes is the step — 2x per hit if the round was opened with three SCATTERs, 4x with four, 6x with five, 8x with six. Before the first spin, a wheel offers a gamble to raise the starting multiplier, capped at 8x, or to collect the current one; a losing stop costs the whole round. The odds are printed on screen: 60.47% to go from 2x to 4x, 69.70% from 4x to 6x and 76.75% from 6x to 8x. Three SCATTERs during the round add 10 more spins.
Duel of Night & Day — Max win
Page 4/8, three blocks on one screen. MAX WIN: “The maximum win amount is limited to 10,000x.”, the round stopping dead once that ceiling is reached and any remaining free spins forfeited. ANTE BET: the 30x bet multiplier raises the chance of landing the free spins naturally, puts more SCATTERs on the reels and disables the purchase, while the 20x one is normal play. BUY FREE SPINS: the round can be bought “for 120x current total bet”, three to six SCATTER symbols then hitting at random on the triggering spin.
Duel of Night & Day — Game rules
Page 5/8: the game gives a theoretical RTP of 96.47%, rising to 96.51% with the ANTE BET and 96.52% with “BUY FREE SPINS”. The page restates that only the highest win is paid per combination on the same pay way, that wins on several pay ways are added together, and that the SPACE and ENTER keys start and stop the spin. The betting range closes the screen: MINIMUM BET $0.20, MAXIMUM BET $360.00.
Duel of Night & Day — How to play
Page 6/8, the interface: the CREDIT and BET labels show the balance and the current total bet, and “Click on the labels to switch between coins view and cash view” — that setting is what accounts for the cash amounts read in the paytable. The AUTOPLAY button opens the automatic play menu and a second click stops it, the three-chevron icon cycles normal speed, quick spin and turbo spin, and the + and − buttons change the bet while opening the denominations menu.
Duel of Night & Day — Settings menu
Page 7/8: the SETTINGS menu holds four entries — INTRO SCREEN, AMBIENT, SOUND FX and GAME HISTORY — while the BET MENU block explains that the + and − buttons act on the BET and COIN VALUE fields, the total bet being shown in both coins and cash. The footer repeats the ceiling: “The maximum win amount is limited to 10000X bet.”, the win then being paid up to the cap and all remaining features forfeited.
