The Crypt 2 launched on March 3, 2026 (with exclusive early access from February 25) and is arguably NoLimit's most ambitious release of the year. The reason? Its lockable 6x7 grid: you start with a visible 6x4 (the top 3 rows are locked) and progressively unlock the rows via the Forsaken Fingers. At full potential, 531,441 win ways — one of the highest ways values in NLC's entire catalog.
This article is a full review of The Crypt 2: the unique lockable-grid mechanic, what xNudge Wild + Forsaken Fingers + Eye Collector are worth, a breakdown of the 5 Nolimit Booster tiers (from 2x to 199x the stake), Entombed Spins with persistent multipliers, and where to play in 2026.
TL;DR — The Crypt 2 in 4 points
- NoLimit City slot, March 2026, a direct sequel to the original The Crypt. 6x7 grid with the top 3 rows initially locked. Classic cascading reels. RTP 96.10% (degraded versions of 94.08% / 92.01% possible).
- Extreme 10/10 volatility, hit frequency of 1/265 spins into the bonus. Max win 31,248x, capped via the "In Memoriam" mechanic.
- Signature mechanics: xWays (2-3 → 9 height), xNudge Wild (climbing multiplier), Forsaken Fingers (unlock rows + become a Wild), the unique Eye Collector + Spider combo (5 Dead Legend eyes = +1 global multiplier), multipliers and unlocked rows persist through the bonus.
- 5 Nolimit Booster tiers: Bonus Booster 2x (entry) / Forsaken 20x / xWays+7 Rows 30x / xNudge+7 Rows 90x / Eye Collector 199x (max). Top 5 spots: SpinAura, BetRiviera, Vave, SlotLair, Betti.
The lockable 6x7 grid — the central concept
This is the mechanic that sets The Crypt 2 apart. Here's how it works:
- You start a session with a visible 6x4 grid (= 4,096 ways)
- The top 3 rows are locked (greyed-out, unused cells)
- The Forsaken Fingers land on the locked positions and unlock them
- Each unlocked row increases the ways: 6x5 (15,625 ways) → 6x6 (46,656 ways) → 6x7 (279,936 ways)
- At full potential with xWays extensions: 531,441 ways
This progressive mechanic is what makes the bonus rounds so explosive: every unlock multiplies the ways by a factor of 3x. Combined with persistent multipliers during Entombed Spins, it's the path to a big win.
xNudge Wild — the cult NLC mechanic
The xNudge Wild lands on the grid and slides downward position by position. On every position crossed:
- It stacks +1 global multiplier
- Stays active until it exits the grid
- With 7 active rows = up to 7 nudges = +7 cumulative multipliers on a single wild
It's the signature mechanic of NLC slots since Bushido Ways xNudge (2021). On The Crypt 2, combined with a 6x7 grid, the multiplier potential is massively amplified.
Eye Collector + Spider — the brand-new mechanic
This is the new mechanic introduced by The Crypt 2, with no equivalent anywhere else in NLC's catalog:
- Dead Legend symbols each carry 1 or 2 eyes
- The Eye Collector (triggered randomly) collects the eyes on the grid
- Every 5 eyes collected = +1 global multiplier
- The Spider (companion) doubles the eyes collected on certain positions
During Entombed Spins, as the Dead Legend levels up (collecting 4 gems to upgrade), the eyes per symbol double — exponentially accelerating the multiplier collection.
Forsaken Fingers — unlock + Wild
The Forsaken Fingers are the special symbols that:
- Land on the locked positions (rows 5-6-7)
- Permanently unlock the position
- Transform into a standard Wild on that new position
- During Entombed Spins: unlocks persist for the entire session
They're the way to unlock the full 531,441-ways potential.
Entombed Spins — the bonus with persistent multipliers
The bonus round triggers with 3+ Scatters. Features:
- +2 spins per triggering Scatter
- +3 spins per Red Moon Scatter (rare variant)
- Multipliers persist between spins (never reset)
- Unlocked rows persist for the entire session
- Dead Legend upgrade: collecting 4 gems doubles the eyes on the symbol
This is the mechanic that turns an average Entombed Spins round into a session that cracks wide open by the end of the bonus.

Nolimit Boosters — 5 progressive tiers
| Tier | Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Bonus Booster | 2x stake | 3x higher chance of Entombed Spins |
| Forsaken Booster | 20x stake | 3 guaranteed Forsaken Fingers |
| xWays + 7 Rows | 30x stake | 2 xWays + 7 active rows |
| xNudge + 7 Rows | 90x stake | 1 Nudge + 7 active rows |
| Eye Collector + 7 Rows | 199x stake | Eye Collector + Spider + 7 rows |
The 2x Booster remains the smartest ratio. The +7 Rows tiers start with the grid already unlocked — a premium option for exploiting the full 531,441 ways straight away.
Strategies by budget
Small budget (< €200)
Activate the 2x Booster right from the start — at a standard €0.20 stake → €0.40 effective, you triple your Entombed Spins odds. With €200 you can run 500 boosted spins and aim for a natural Entombed trigger.
Medium budget (€500-€1,000)
Mix: 60% Booster at €0.50 + 40% Forsaken 20x at €0.30 (= €6/buy). The Forsaken guarantees 3 Forsaken Fingers = 3 unlocked rows from the start.
Large budget (€2,000+)
xWays+7Rows at 30x (at €0.50 = €15/buy) or xNudge+7Rows at 90x (at €0.30 = €27/buy) become sweet spots — a 7-row grid from the start + guaranteed xMechanics. Eye Collector at 199x (at €0.30 = €60/buy) remains a premium option but delivers the slot's unique mechanic right from the entry.
